Waterline 55

OVERVIEW

The new 55 is the most recent model in the Waterline line-up. It shares many of the better known Waterline features including an ergonomic cockpit design and transom access. The profile of the 55 is “sheer” elegance. Emphasis is placed on graceful and pleasing curves blending function and beauty. Lines are led back from the mast and self-tacking staysail via individual stainless steel tubes integral in the side of the house, leaving the side decks uncluttered. Ample ground tackle passes through double bow rollers to a horizontal Lighthouse windlass. Electric Andersen stainless steel winches and a Leisurefurl boom allow easy sail handling for a cruising couple.

INTERIOR DESIGN

The Waterline 55 has a feature-packed three-cabin layout, designed for comfort and livability. Nine hatches, eight opening portlights, 14 hull deadlights, three stainless steel dorade vents, and two solar powered vents ensure an abundance of ventilation and natural light below. The master cabin is forward, with a centerline king-size bunk and adjacent head. Wrap around windows offer 270° visibility from the salon, galley and nav station. Gracious curves and joinery accents enhance the commodious living space. Tongue and groove solid select cherry paneling creates a warm and luxurious ambiance. Comfort and convenience are augmented by the installation of a washer/dryer, dishwasher and central vac. The spacious nav station provides ample room for installation of modern instrumentation and electronics. The equipment room. aft of the galley is complete with work bench and tool storage, offering easy access to the steering and autopilot systems, Webasto cabin heater and other equipment.
